- What is the major
differences between PL and CPL? CPL is specially designed for camera
with TTL system. PL will alter the AF accuracy of these camera. e.g.
TTL camera: Canon 550D, 500D, 450D, 400D,
50D,40D, 5D Mark
II, 7D etc.Nikon D3,D3X,D3S,D700,D90,D60,D50,D40X,D5000,D3000 etc.Sony:

- What is ND400, ND8,
Semi-Grey(Gradual grey) and Semi-Orange Filter
- ND400: reduce 8-ev
stop and ND4: reduce 3 -ev stop. It is specially for waterfall, high
light intensity portrait and landscape photography. Semi-Grey is good
for the landscape high contrast composition (hill-side and sky). It
average the exposure. Semi-orange is
useful for sun set-off and set-on.
- What are the major
differences between Protector and UV filter? Protector is simply as a
permanent protection for lenses. It is CLEAR with UV protection. UV is
a higher UV attenuation which can achieve from 300nm or above short
wavelength UV. Some high-end UV filter like Kenko Zeta UV, it can
achieve the attenuation from 410nm.
- What are the
differences of HOYA UV(O) and UV(N)? O stands for Optical
glass. N stands for Normal Glass. Optical Glass is a thin and higher
transmission with lower refraction glass which is essential for the
professional camera lens.
